Apply for the History Honors Program

APPLICATION

To be accepted into the History Honors program, you must have a 3.5 grade-point average (GPA) in history. We base the applicable GPA only on courses taken at UC Davis. If you do, then:

  1. Download the honors application packet, and follow the directions indicated.
  2. Download the honors faculty letter of recommendation form, and with it obtain a recommendation from a faculty member, as the application packet describes.

If you have any questions, please contact the Undergraduate Advising Center; or Professor Rachel St. John, who is the current Honors Supervisor.

The deadline for the Senior thesis submission to the committee for the 2021-22 cycle is Wednesday, May 25th, 2022 by 5PM.

The deadline for submitting honors applications for the 2022-23 cycle is Friday, May 20th, 2022.
 Email your completed application to Chris Doseck, cedoseck@ucdavis.edu in the Undergraduate Advising Center.

The History Department will be hosting another Information Session for students interested in the Honors Thesis program. Join Prof. Rachel St. John and the History Advising Center for details on what the program entails, tips on making connections with a faculty sponsor, and answers to any questions you have.
